Kentucky Reentry is made up of councils throughout the state of Kentucky. They are made up of individuals and organizations networking together to share information and improve the reentry process. The members may be organizations and/or individuals that provide services and/or have interests in helping. Each group is focused toward ex-offenders coming back to their areas, the issues involved, and making their community safer.
The Kentucky Department of Corrections Reentry Branch has broken the State up into Regions to help facilitate the Reentry Councils and help Reentry within each Region. Below is the map with each region and each Reentry Program Administrative person. You can contact the person in your region/council by emailing the council here.
The basic purposes of each group are:
•To address the current issues facing returning citizens
•To develop a network of resources and service providers within their area
•To communicate and advocate for returning citizens by addressing issues to the community and their leaders
There are reentry groups in Ashland, Lexington, Louisville, London, Covington, Owensboro, Paducah/Hopkinsville, Bowling Green, Elizabethtown, Prestonsburg, and Morehead.
