- Sober Living
- While living at the Beacon House, new residents will learn that the road to recovery means not only abstaining from drugs and alcohol, but also living a clean and sober life that encompasses an holistic, mind-body-spirit approach:
Mind – Learning through example to live life honestly, ethically and to help others.
Body – Learning to live every 24 hours without the dependence of drugs & alcohol
Each resident has an initial interview with one of the resident managers to find out the recovering alcoholic/addict’s standing in the recovery process. Following the interview, the resident is given a recovery plan that fits his situation. The plan includes, but is not limited to, a path through a 12-Step recovery program. Each resident is required to have a sponsor with whom he meets regularly. The plan is reviewed and adjusted on a regular basis by the resident and his assigned resident manager. The plan is co-developed in an effort to help the resident continue his recovery journey.
